what are the 3 wires from the flyback? (Viewsonic 17GS)

I recently tried to repair a Viewsonic 17GS monitor. When i removed the
board from the tube, two wires, a red and a black were also pulled out.
I thought it was soldered in the forst place so i did not list down the
positions of the wire. Not, there are 2 holes on the Tube socket labeled
A and B. Now, which wire goes to which hole??


Also, I am repairing monitors without really knowing how to discharge
the CRT, how do you really discharge it??

Guess that may be bi-level focus, reference and g2, etc. I normally mark
these connections and connecting wires before actually removing them from
the board. Any one else wanting to venture a partially educated guess also??
