WES Components

Can anyone give me a brief history of their dealings with this company . I
recently faxed ( they insisted on fax to be sure of correct details ) an
order for a single component and was correctly billed . Four days later I
received another component which I had not ordered and I subsequently rang
for credit . I was given a claim number and posted part back to them. All
very well , they have credited me the part ok , but have still charged me
for their blunder . They have not credited me for the postage. Does anyone
think I should be out of pocket ? Any comments ?

If it was their blunder then they should have sent you the correct part at
no extra cost. Did they post you out the replacement part? If so, did they
charge you twice for postage or just the once?

I have dealt with WES for several years now, and generally found them to be
reasonable. Not too many problems - I've had more trouble with DSE!!! No
company is perfect, but then again who is!!

Cheers

The require the fax to setup your account. Afterwards you can just
email your orders quoting your customer number.

I went through a period where about half my orders were bungled in
some way. In every case my delivery costs were credited. I haven't had
any problems for quite a while now.

**WES are fair and reasonable. If the fault is theirs, they will usually
make it right. You must understand that WES employ the dumbest people on the
planet. You MUST order by part number. If you do, you will rarely encounter
problems.

Considering how dumb they are, they mostly get everything right, and operate
promptly.

Nowhere near as bad as Electus.

**I've had a pretty good run with Electus (except for the odd out of stock
item). DSE, OTOH, are utterly appalling.

I find that amusing, We deal with Both, and Electus are great, if they make
a boo boo They credit and
unlike WES they do know their products, and they speak English..!!
But as I said they both do a pretty good job.
When WES have supplied us with the wrong part, we use their free post
address to return the items,

Allan
