I FEEL THAT WHOEVER WATCHES MORE THAN 15 HOURS OF T.V. A DAY OR LISTEN TO MORE THAN 12 HOURS OF THE RADIO EACH DAY SHOULD GET THE AUTOMATIC DEATH PENALTY.

watch anything anymore from basic TV channels because I got so sick and
tired of having something like USA Network's SOLID blue banner at the bottom

model as new, and didn't even file a complaint regarding it.

and it's been a superb set, with the exception of having two slightly
brighter horizonal bands in the picture... One at the top, one at the
bottom. The previous owner watched a lot of 13x9 movies....

At 52", that is all you should do as well. After all, one does see

the entire movie that way! You need new CRT projector tubes to fix
that.

You need to learn about Usenet posting protocols and refrain from
top-posting responses in the future as well. It will go long way in
making you credible in Usenet... trust me. It is worth the "pain"

Huh? I got the set for free and spent $6 repairing it, where did I say
anything about new? The burn is annoying, but not annoying enough to buy a
whole new set. Widescreen movies look fine on it, it's just TV that shows
it.
