Way OT: And John F Will Bitch - Passwords

Still trying to get my father's PC on my network.

[Compaq (Unim)Presario 1200-XL106, Win98SE :-]

It was set up with direct boot w/o password, except that there seems
to be one.

Boot up, asks for password, click cancel and it goes ahead and starts
up.

But to get it networkable I need a password.

The password my father thinks it is, ISN'T :-(

Anyone know, or have pointers to, how to recover password?

Thanks!

I love to cook with wine. Sometimes I even put it in the food.

Thanks! That looks to be the tutorial I need. But what has me
puzzled is that IPCONFIG reports "Can't read IP configuration".

I'll work my thru it again. Maybe I'm missing something fundamental.

Better watch that!! You'll end up like the lady at work! She wrote a
post-it note and stuck it to my monitor, meaning to say "please see me
ASAP", but she left out the 'see'. Verrrrrry embarrassing!

Some guy once told me that he worked at a place where one of
there was a soman named, "Kay", who was kind of in and ut of
her office, and when people needed to see her, or get a message
to her, they'd write a note, "If you see Kay,..." He said that
people generally abbreviated it...

Cheers!
Rich
