When you open the waveform viewer, the menus and pull downs are
missing in IC6.1.4 Has anyone else experienced this?

There are some issues with Wavescan (or ViVA or whatever you call it)
and OpenGL on Solaris ...

If this is your case, than there is a solution: CCR 687849

There's a solution for this on http://support.cadence.com which suggests using:

setenv CDS_WAVESCAN_OPENGL "-Dsun.java2d.opengl=False"

It's not just Solaris, by the way. It happens in other situations too. It's a
problem caused by the Java version shipped with IC614.

Andrew.

I found this solution it did fix the problem. We are also updating
the java on every box.
The most bizzare effect was that when you closed the tool in some
cases, you where logged
out of linux

Sorry I didnt do a follow up
