TIA

Good luck with that one, mate! Another chinese production line nightmare.

Incidentally, it is worth noting that W-Audio (and many others) use a
chinese clone of the good quality P-audio BMD450 Mk1 Tweeter in their larger
speakers.

You can get replacement clone diaphragms here:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_boxdiaphragma_4401.htm

Or you can get the proper P-Audio one here for the same price:
http://www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=PAUDT028D8&browsemode=manufacturer

(Note the BMD450 Mk2 uses a different diaphragm)

Cheers,

Gareth.

TBH, I don't really want to do it. It looks like it's been stored for some
time, somewhere a bit cold and damp, but that's not the issue. None of the
three amps in it is working. The closest is the sub amp, which at least has
drive to the output transistors, one pair of which are short. I'm reluctant
to start getting parts in for it without having schematics, but the owner
has agreed to a potential high repair bill, as he wants to sell the rig to
try and recoup some of the money he spent on it, so I guess I've got to make
at least a token effort. I've made it quite clear though that without
schematics, he's on a loser, as the value does not warrant the time I'd have
to waste working blind ... :-\
