VXL: Roughly how many nets/devices can it handle (IC 5141)?

Hi there, i have a schematic which on the face of it looks reasonably
simple with around 30 components. However, it has a lot of multiple
instances (to the extent that in layout there would effectively be 500
devices).

Would VXL be expected to take 10mins to generate this layout or should
it handle this fairly easily?

I have another even larger schematic but it was taking so long to
generate that i killed it, is there a way to monitor whether VXL is
actually churning through it and how much progress it being made?
