VXL-placer form -- how to auto-populate the field: rules?

We r using 5.0.32.

In VXL-placer form, I always get the placer rules field blank (by default).
I did not see any .cdsenv settings to pre-populate this field.

On the contrary, I can pre-populate the Export-to-VCR form field (rules)
but not the placer rules form.

Appreciate any i/p.

Don't remember if there was a form. But the plcmt rule file is basically

the same as the router one (may be a more simplified one).

Did you try setting the following variable in your .cdsenv.

layoutXL.placement rulesFile string "<path_to_rulesfile"

This should populate the Rules File field in the VXL placer form.
