Virtuso turbo editor too slow

Hello all,

My virtuso layout window is taking lot of time around 20 seconds for
operations like descending to instances(shift+x)
and also for shiift+b(Coming up to the hierarchy), it's also slow for
make editable and make read only.
And all other operations like copy , creation,moving are fast.
What could be the reason for this.

I'm not sure how your Cadence License server is configured, but
traversing the hiearchy can sometimes trigger Cadence to checkin/out
license (and obviously read to edit mode does). Is it possible the
Turbo licenses are located off site causing a delay? My company only
has a few "local" licenses the rest are pulled over the network from
another site. Just a thought...
