Picture is great, but is squashed horizontally. About 2 inches from both
sides as if excessive pincussion. Adjustment of horizontal size or
pincussion from OSD does nothing.

First place to start loooking?? This is the second one of these monitors
that I have seen with this fault.

Thanks

Look for high ESR caps in the pin amp and horiz scan areas.

Checked all caps the electrolytics with my DSE ESR (bob parker) didn't
find any that seemed out of spec. I also noticed that the vertical size
cannot be changed either. Although the tilt works fine. Wondering if it
could be the micro??

Anything else you could suggest???

Thanks

Do the other functions work OK ? (eg: contrast, size, etc.)
I have had a couple of monitors where the EEPROM went bad.
Cound not adjust anything.
Replaced it with a blank one (all binary zeros) and it fixed the problem.

Yeah all the other functions work fine. Except vertical and horizontal
size, and pincusion. The monitor works flawlessly, except the fact that
the screen is squashed horizontally.
