First of all, if this is urgent, you'd be better off going to Cadence
Customer Support (http://support.cadence.com ). Personally I only check
the news group now and again because the traffic is not that high these
days (and this is not part of my job at Cadence - I do it as a
volunteer, which is true of all the Cadence folks who post here now and
again).

Secondly, did you check the documentation? If I run cdnshelp (or launch
the help from the Help menus in the tools) and search for vhdlImport,
there's a description of the function including an example.
