Verilog software for linux

Hello,

I'm looking for verilog software (well, free since I'm a student) that
will work under linux. I tried to install the free altera version of
quartus using wine, but failed to accomplish it. If anyone knows good
free linux verilog syntesizers/cad tools, please reply.
