i want to buy a couple of velleman kits i've seen on american and canadian
sites, searched like mad for uk supliers, and none came up.. only CPC and
maplins are listed as suppliers, but they have a pittifuly poor range of
kits.
specificaly i'm after a couple of K8046 touch screen keypads (to controll
the lights in my motorhome i'm building)
and a K8049 8 chanel remote.. so i can operate the main lights from the bed
(one of the touch panels will be by the door to operate the main living area
lights, and all the cold cathode tubes i'll have under the overhead
cupboards, and another touch screen will be in the bathroom area, and the
remote controll will be to operate the lights from the bed
I like the look of this touch panel, epsecialy the back light and all that,
but i can't seem to find any uk supplier thats even heard of this kit, it
may be kinda new i guess.
Anyone know where to get these kits from in the uk?? or are they likely to
be stupidly priced i'm better off buying from abroad and paying the import
taxes (the site i got the most info from about these kits was canadian, and
listed the K8046 at 79 dollars (canadian) they also listed the 15 chanel
infared remote RX at 79 dollars.. and that one is in maplins for 35 quid, so
35 quid for the touch panel switch unit is what i hope to pay.. especialy as
i need 2 of them, and a load of relays, remote controller and so on.
And no i dont want normal switches like most motorhomes have i want
something modern, as well as being lazy and being able to controll all the
lights in the main areas via remote,
Anyone know where i can get white cold cathode tubes cheaply tho?? best i've
found is Ł6 each, with the inverter board, but the inverter boards can run 2
tubes, and spare tubes are 7 quid!!
Oh yeah, don't suppose anyone knows if cold cathode tubes larger than the
usual 1 foot long ones are available??
