VCR Schematic

I have an Hitachi VCR SQPB. When pulling a cought tape out of the
bowels of this machine a plastic piece popped out. After carefeul
examination I have determined that the piece did nt break off of any
other component, ergo it must clip into place somewhere. Without it in
place the tape goes in but won't stay in. Many thanks if you know
where to go to get this. Google search itself was a bust. JLN

Take your nice Hitachi machine to your local VCR repair shop for a quick
evaluation or repair cost estimate....... it is likely that your forcing
the tape out (never a good idea) caused more damage that just a dislodged
plastic piece.
Probably not a real expensive repair but it will cost more after failed or
aborted home repair attempts.... TAKE it to a shop for at the very least a
repair cost estimate so you can make an intelligent repair decision with
facts instead of internet or telephone guesses.
