VCR JVC HRS4700U - Dead Power Supply

I am working on my JVC VCR (Model HRS4700U) with a dead power supply
(PB10559). Can anyone help me with a power supply schematic or output
voltage test points?

If you follow the postings of this group for any length of time you will see
that this is a re-occurring question with just about always the same answer.
First of all, your post just said "dead power supply"
It should be obvious that we need more information than that..
.......it's like telling a mechanic that your car is dead? What is meant by
dead? Turns over but won't start? The key doesn't work? Just a clicking
sound? No clicking sound? Motor runs but car won't go? ..... I think
you get the idea here.
Did you open it up? Any preliminary or basic troubleshooting done?
Results? Voltage readings? Component test results? Visual observations?
There is a lot of troubleshooting, testing, and repairing that can be done
WITHOUT a schematic..... and remember, on the newsgroup here, we don't have
our hands on your power supply and test equipment and we can't see
anything..... you are our eyes and ears.
As I said before, this is a re-occurring theme..... the usual suspects in a
"dead" SMPS are:
Bad or blown fuse
Bad or high ESR electrolytics in the primary and secondary side.
Shorted switching transistor
Bad opto-isolator
Shorted diodes, bridge rectifier, shorted zener diodes.
Open ICPs
Open low-ohm resistors
etc, etc.
A good suggestion for you is to go to the website for this newsgroup at
http://www.repairfaq.org/
There, with some searching, you will find a wealth of troubleshooting tips,
repair procedures, component testing methods, and IMPORTANT safety
information.
Look over the website, get your test equipment dusted off, do some
troubleshooting, component testing, and meter readings...... and fix this
thing...... or if you still have a question, post all of your
troubleshooting results and you might obtain some more specific repair tips.

look for a 120mf 6.3v lytic near the transformer secondaries that will
most likely be brown in color,replace it and it should work.
