I have never been able to remember white or grey for 8 or 9 and are
never too sure of the gold and silver multiplier band.
There was a famous RN commander who had always been seen,every day,
first thing in the morning, consulting a little book. Crew thought it
was a thought for the day or something like that. After retiring he
admitted it had written inside, port is left and starboard is right

It's funny how some things just don't stick. I have designed and built many
items over the years using an LM317 regulator. And still I can never
remember the pinouts of it, and the formula for the two resistors. Now, I
will have it at my fingertips for ever !

It is a pity it is only useful to LESS than half the population.
It does not seem to be available to the majority who use Android
phones.

Hey ! Don't shoot me - I'm only the messenger. That may be so on the Android
front, but to those of us that do have iPads and iPhones, it's a jolly nice
little app. Anyway, the reverse is also true. I have a nice automotive OBD
analysis app called Torque on my Android phone. Much as I would like a
version for my iPad, there isn't one, but hey ho. That's life ...

Port has four letters, and so does left,
and don't forget it!
