URGENT HELP REQUIRED - for Sony KV29X5U TV

Placed set in service mode, and selected "07" - age mode option. Now
service mode unresponsive and will not reset to normal mode : service mode
options can't be typed nor will menu key on remote bring up adjustments
menu.

Expert help would be greatly appreciated.

If you did not save your damage, unplug the set for about 20 seconds. Plug
the set back in, and it should normally work. If this does not work, you
have locked yourself out from entering a wrong parameter. The EPROM / uPC
will have to be changed to make the set work properly again. A proper
factory level set-up will be necessary to bring the set back to proper
performance, because the set-ups will all be at their default position, or
at 50% of range.

If there is a failure in the set, the proper service should be performed to
locate and change the defective parts. Adjusting the set is not the proper
fix. The service set-up is a factory set-up, the various set-ups should not
be re-adjusted unless parts in the set have been changed that effect a
particular function.

There are no factory defaults. Each set is its own, and is set up using the
proper calibration and test facilities to meet specific performance
parameters.
