"Unwanted" Check

Guest
Hi all,

I am working with large schematics and I discovered that, especially
after the creation of a big bus (more than 1000 elements), the icfb
gets stuck and this message appears in CIW:

\o Extracting "sectors schematic"

If I am not wrong this is the same message that appears when I run the
Check&Save.
This is particularly annoying, because it can happen any time and it
can cost me 0.5-1-2 hours depending on the schematic.
Is there a way to disable this "unwanted" check? I don't care if the
Check&Save takes long (I can do something else meanwhile...), but I
don't want to wait that amount of time also when I am selecting some
nets or just changing the properties.

This is part of the log time, when this check happened last time:

\a schSingleSelectPt()
\i 14.5625:-23.25
\o Extracting "sectors schematic"

Thanks in advance for your help

Best Regards,
Marco

Well, you'll need it to extract the connectivity - without this you won't be
able to netlist.

If it is taking too long, you should contact Cadence customer support about
this.

Andrew.
