I have a 6 amp speed control removed from a universal brush type 120 volt
A.C. Skil Reversible variable speed drill. This drill does not have
permanent magnets, but a wire wound FIELD COIL and the speed control has
specific wires going to the field circuitry. I have a 3 amp brush type 90
VDC motor with a PERMANENT magnet field. Is there any way I can
fool/modify/adapt the above speed control to reliably vary the speed of this
permanent magnet 90VDC motor ? Reversibility is not required.
Cheers... Gerry
