Why do we have economists if everything is unexpected?

Note that B got the sign wrong.

\"76% of Americans\" are better economists than the average economist.
Some fields are like that... expertise makes people worse.

This Biden keeps the borders open to get aliens in that then vote for him.
He promised all sorts of great things for criminals, like \'defund the police\'
and promised to rebuild things,
nothing materialized of course, now gas and food are more expensive
inflation is huge, debt is growing,
houses are so expensive nobody of the middle or lower classes can buy one, and he is still asking for more money - wanting more taxes.

midterms will likely change lot.

Don\'t worry, we will fix it with inflation, but not necessary for the better. There is time-lag for turning higher prices into GDP grow. The Fed is way behind the curve with monetary polices.

GDP can skyrocket, but inflation can grow faster. The result, probably
intentional, is to push people into higher tax brackets and funnel
more of the economy through government.

The Fed was a major cause of this mess, economists spinning big knobs
rail-to-rail for the fun of it. Zero interest rates have consequences.

And reduction of Debt to GDP ratio.

I like the fact that Larkin despises economists, then tries to be one himself. Self-loathing I suppose.
