Hi,

During LVS, I got

"undefined function: avSwitch"

What is wrong? How can I define the function?

Thanks,

avSwitch is a function that allows the rules to test if a switch has
been set to get conditional compilation of rules in the same way
ivIf(switch) does. This is a moderately new feature so it would seem you
have an older build of the software.

Hi,

I am using IC5.0 (Cadence university program). Our university have
just updated the license. In the welcome message, I can see "welcome
to Cadence 97B". Is that version old?

Even though I changed divaLVS.rul from "avSwitch" to "ivIf", it still
doesn't work and cannot find function ivIf:-(. Right now, I have to
comment the rule out.

I am using the Hit-Kit design kit 3.51 from austriamicrosystems. I am
wondering if this design kit disables something, because the same
problem happened on library manager.

In library manager, if I run this design kit, I cannot run the menu
"new->library" that is corresponding to a function like
"createLibrary" (I don't remember exact function name now). Later, I
changed the .cdsini file and fixed it.

Thanks,

Hi Lee,

The Cadence version 5.0.32 should be used with the Hit-Kit
design kit 3.51.
This design-kit works also with Cadence version 4.4.6.100.87

The message you have "welcome to Cadence 97B" means that something
is wrong with your Cadence installation.

Regards,
