Friend has pair of Castle Acoustic Clyde speakers with no foam
surround left. He also has no money - so commercial repair or
replacement not possible. I have found foam surround suppliers in USA
and NL but not UK - any pointers please?
(Arfa or Nigel??)

No knowledge, rarely see foam surrounds, and have never refoamed,
reconed yes but again not involving foam

Ok - thanks for the reply.
May have to just replace the drivers - if I can ever work out if they
are 5" or 5 1/4".

Thanks for the suggestion - sorry for the late reply.
I have tried that website 3 times.
At first it looked hopeful as they had manufacturers logos - but
clicking on the Castle logo does not get me anywhere - just a slowly
scrolling string of unconnected pictures.
By using the "search" button and searching for castle it only finds
one item :-
"Refoam kit for 2x 8 inch Castle drivers"
Which might be what I want - but no Model where used or dimensions
given.

How to lose customers before they even get them...

If time is not an issue you could bodge replace the rolls - I did a
pair of my own completely shot 8 1/2" drivers (the rolls were hanging in
tatters) about 12 years ago using Diamond tape as the impervious base
and strengthened with material for longevity - still going strong
without distortion (subjective!) but they are 100W drivers and I never
need to use them for anything more than about 20w and mostly at about
the 5w level! Took an evening each. C+
