Why are there so many crashed UFO\'s stashed in Area51? It\'s like an
alien spacecraft junkyard. You\'d think that with interstellar
technology the LGMs could build more air-worthy vehicles.

They hire crappy pilots! ;-)

There are no UFOs there. It\'s a soil fungus endemic to Nevada making people hallucinatory.

Sounds like the same problem we have - rubbernecking. The pilots slow
down when they pass the scene of an accident, so they and their
passengers can get a good luck at the havoc... and they don\'t pay
attention and end up flying right into a tree or pylon or
chrono-synclastic infundibulum and making the accident scene even worse.

This was one of the most important things I was taught, when I was taking
CERT etc. emergency-response training, some years ago: your first priority
as a rescuer, is to not become a victim yourself.
