Type III Sum of Squares

Guest
How do I calculate type III Sum of Squares by hand? I am using this in
ANOVA analysis.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

At the risk of sounding redundant (not to say pedantic) - you add them

To read about the theory, go here for a start:

Or do this Google search:

Is the type III Sum of squares different than any other sum of squares?

Normally, to compute a sum of squares, there are two steps: Step one is to
compute the squares, and step two is to sum them...
