In for repair is this Samsung TV. What I have is sound but no picture or
raster. The CRT filiment are lit and I get HV. The IC on the crt board is hot
and the drive voltages are their. I also have the right voltages on IC 201
Video IC. The 200v are also their but I can't get anything on the screen. Any
help out there... Thanks

check the sandcastle pulse generation is good and not causing blanking, also
check the vertical output and field generation stages for proper operation.

Ic on CRT Board Hot?? Are the voltages on that particular ic correct?? Is
it probable that ic is defective?? Does advancing the G-2 setting produce
any raster? Do you have vertical deflection? You say the drive voltages are
"there" but is the 200 volt supply at the Video Output IC and being
transferred to the CRT Cathodes?? Post voltage measurements at suspect
devices for further assistance.

What I found was a bad Eprom.. I was getting the video all over the place but
not up to the CRT. I had another set similar to this and for the heck of it I
tried the eprom. My picture came back but the linear was off and no sound. Now
I waiting for the right part to put in and see... Thanks!

That was the problem. The only thing was that I had to reset the parameters.

These units also have bad flybacks that take
20 minutes to get a pix! Rono!

Found out it was the Eprom. Replaced it and got my picture back. No sound
though. I had to go into the service menu and change some parimeters
