As Twitter Vice President in spe, I would like to implement free phone calls globewide, since Internet has reduced us to ASCII robots.

Twitter is an old technology to survive.
I would like to implement multi time-lines, supporting real-time interactive chats, since we waste Bs of hours awaiting any reply, response.

Facebook is spam heavy.

There are too many over-confident half-wits like Gnatguy for this to be commercially viable. Admittedly Gnatguy is an extreme example of the breed, and it would be worth a lot to make him go away, but the only viable business model is one that make twits like him pay through the nose for getting the exposure they crave.

It\'s called vanity publishing. It doesn\'t seem to be all that profitable. And having to put up with customers like Gnatguy can\'t be fun.
