I've connected the cable from the computer to the TV (S-Video to RCA - TV is
RCA) - now how do I get it to work in place of the monitor. I've switched it
on but it's not displaying anything. Do I have to do anything in the control
panel. Is it possible to have both the monitor and TV running at the same
time. Thanks for any help.

mmm if it's an nvidia card, go to the advanced settings in display
properties and after restarting the putie with the tv connected to the right
spot go to 'cloning' settings.

If your not running NVIDIA, get it, it will allow you to clone, or run 2
screens..

eh.....
right click on a clear piece of desktop- click properties, then settings
tab, then advanced, then MX440 tab, then it gets hazy as I cant remember,
but look for desktop cloning in the tree. remember about the restart with
the tv connected.
good luck.

Thanks Chris - I worked it out. I'm getting the display and that's great.
However, is it possible to get the computer audio from the TV speakers. For
example, if I'm watching a film on the TV set from the computer I would like
to hear it from the TV speakers. In that way I can record it to VCR with the
audio. Regards

sure, if your tv has RCA audio inputs you can get sound from a line out of
the soundcard (typically a stereo 1/8 inch jack), not sure if you will get
sync problems, but give it a go.

Yeah, you certainly will get sync problems ..

The lag will be about 0.0001 microseconds - thats horrendous !
