Hi Folks I wonder if someone can through a bit of light onto my
problem -

I have a samsung 28" widescreen and in the last few months it seems to
go an orange colour every so often. Along with that it goes blurry
also, if you leave it for a while it fixes itself but I was wondering
what is wrong

Any idea's?

cheers

If the set is still under warranty, you should have them check it for you.
It is impossible to make even a guess to the cause without having details,
of the bias drive voltages and signal levels to the CRT elements, such as
the various grids, cathodes, and etc, during the fault condition. This is
only a start.

It is possible that there is a cold solder connection in the video path, the
tube is going defective, or there is a bias supply fault condition to the
circuits that drive the CRT. Your description sounds like the blue channel
is getting lost.

You should call an experienced TV service tech to have a look at it for you,
and give you a service estimate if the set is out of warranty. It is in
warranty, you should apply for their service as soon as possible.
