Hi..

I have a weird problem.

I have a sony stb & mitsubishi tv

I get great reception on stb (wired via scart) to the tv.

I can get great tv pictures through analogue reception.

However when I plug the sky aerial into the wall socket BB2 & ITV go VERY
grainy to the point of unwatchable. (this is only on those 2 channels, bb1 &
ch4 are ok still)

Also if I switch off the STB at wall socket again pictures improve on
analogue.

I have tried unpluging scart leads etc this has no effect.

I have checked the wall socket, combined TV & sat (there is No earth cross
over between the two).

I have tried replacing tv lead to wall socket, no effect.

My video is also effected with same problem (diasy chained between wall &
TV) (i have tried bypassing with no effect)

any ideas what could cause this problem ??

thanks

it is because the rf output frequency is either on top of or verry close to
a broadcast signal , what you have to do is adjust the RF output of the sky
unit so that it ocupies a slot in the band which is not used by your loacal
transmuitter, you can ring sky help if you know the transmitter you get your
analogue signals from, and they should be able to tell you how to find a
clear frequencey,
