TV Problem

the three colors of my TV are not on top of each other,

there is a vertical gradient where the middle is perfect but at the top and
bottom the colors are really off (not on top of each other),

horizontally there is no gradient,

there is also a noise(vibration which is oscillating at specific rate unless
it is at the moment a channel is being changed) coming from the yoke (not
too sure if its from the yoke I didn't want to bring my ear too close)

was wondering whether this would be a tube, yoke, turner, v/h synch, power
supply and etc problem,

and what type of faulty component I should be looking for: capacitor,
resistor and the like

Thanks,

Dero

It would be best if you were to provide the brand and model number for any
real answers.
Each brand, and each model, have their own different sets of problems.

Sounds like a loose trimming magnet in the yoke. Never saw a Hitachi do that,
but Philips had problems with it for years.

BTW its a 13 year old TV

Ditto to JVC 27" w/ S suffix sets using JVC CRT w/ samsung yoke.
Buzzzzz! Same with new yoke, some replacement yokes came out of box
and noisy. I found best solution to that is take it off, cut two big
slots on inner side on the seams to miss the horizontal windings.
Yank out those rubber paddings if found after cutting those holes.
This is neccessary for letting coating leak in. Dip completely in
spar varnish but not the yoke connector. Sponge off the clamp on
inside and out, Hang the yoke by it's wires let it drip off excess,
dry for two days, repeat dip once and dry that clamping surfaces.
Alway wiping clean those paint off allows for even clamping forces on
the tube neck. :) Let it dry completely for a week in warm location.

I start the cutting with series of drilled holes to outline a slot and
cut the webs to get the section out. Without that pair of holes,
vanrish doesn't get inside which is vital.

Cheers,

Wizard
