TV problem - buzzing

I have a very very old Toshiba TV that has a problem: There's an irritating buzz
coming from the TV. When I switch channels, the buzz disappears for a while,
then reappears. Volume control has no effect.

The TV is old (circa 1980), so many could say "throw it away", but it's a good
TV (the only way to tune it, manual tuning, allows very precise adjustment -
auto tuning is not 100% perfect in Brazil).

Anybody here knows the cause of this problem?

Possibly the Deflection Yoke has a loose magnet inside it; very difficult to
repair if you're not familiar with TV innards.

What is the model & chassis number ?

What tests and/or work have you done on the set so far ?

Are you using it with any other equipment, e.g. VCR or Satellite receiver ?

Not enough useful information in your posting for anyone to make
suggestions.

OK. I'll take a look.
