im a newb sorry guys but if a digital IC says that it can only supply one
TTL load for its maximum output current, how can i branch the ouput into two
routes without significant voltage drop or pulling too much current? should
i got about doing it myself or with some IC that already exists for this
purpose?

Normally 1 TTL output can drive at least 10 TTL inputs.
There is a current attached to this but you only need this in an output
stage (use an ULN200x p.e. for this).
