Trying to find a source for some wire.

After spending the last 2-3 hours trying to find a price and a source
for Stainless Steel .005" diameter wire I am asking here (no luck on my
google searches). The perfect wire would be stranded where each strand
(8 or more) would be .005" in diameter but I would settle on single
uncoated Stainless Steel in .005" diameter.

Thank you.

How about piano wire? Call a music store and see if they can help.

For stranded wire that small, you might find it available in SS fishing
leaders.. The fishing supply shops have spools of different size stranded
wire.. Take your micrometer along because there not going to know what size
the individual strands.

Try McMaster-Carr.
Thank you VERY much as this is the ticket. I hope they don't require a
minimum order as a 1-LB spool is $46.67 Each and has 14,892 ft. Thats
enough wire to last me several life times.

Thanks again.

They don't have a minimum order as far as I know, but of course
you pay shipping and stuff. I buy stuff from them routinely -
there's one about 3 blocks from the office. They have _everything!_
Try 9882K11 = $30.40 for 1/4 lb.

Cheers!
