Hi,
I am looking for some DC to DC converter modules for the project that I am
currently working on. I need 5 Volts , 3.3 Volts, 2.5 Volts and 1.2 Volts
(at 1.6 Amps, 3 Amps, 2.8 Amps and 10 Amps, respectively). The only one that
really needs "isolation" is the 5 Volt supply and if I can find "point of
load" converters for the 3.3 Volt, 2.5 Volt and 1.2 Volt supplies then they
can work off of the 5 Volt supply. I don't have to power budget to "blow"
much in linear regulators (all of these converters must work off of 48 Volts
DC input).
I am surprised that for all of the so-called manufacturers of converters
(off the shelf ones) there are so few with real deliverable product. I have
received quotes from many that give lead times of 8 to 12 weeks. That is
longer then my development cycle.
I have checked Digikey, but a lot of the ones that they carry do not have
"industry standard" footprints. If I use a converter with a non standard
footprint and it stops being available, then I am screwed.
If anyone has suggestions for manufacturers, I would appreciate the help. I
would love to make my own "switcher" but I don't have the development time
in my schedule.
Regards
Tom
