Hello,

Does anyone in the group have any tips for troubleshooting the subject UPS
or any UPS for that matter?

I found the unit completely dead after an extended power outage. The unit
shows no sign of life at all. I'm sure that the batteries are shot due to
their age, but shouldn't I at least get some indication of low battery? No
LEDs at all. I tried the reset button as well with similar results.

I don't want to spend the money replacing the batteries only to find out
that the whole unit is toast. With the four (LCR6V12P1) batteries costing
around $60 it probably would be wiser to put that money toward buying a new
UPS.

Still, I'm curious as to why the unit is completely dead. Even if the
batteries were completely discharged or defective shouldn't there still be
some sort of life in the unit?

Thanks in advance to those who post a reply.

Peter.
