Treating state files like they are another view

Good day,

I have seen some setup that saves the state under the library -> Cell.
The view is called whatever the state was named and it has the
simulator appended onto it. Inside that view directory, it has the
master.tag file and then a file called state which is the text file.

myLibrary -> schematic -> sch.cdb
-> prop.xx
-> master.tag
-> pc.db
-> symbol -> symbol.cdb
-> master.tag
-> pc.db
-> state1_spectre -> master.tag
-> state

What I don't know is how this is setup. Has anyone done this? I don't
know if it is truely another viewtype, but I want to do this so I can
keep the state with the testbench and then have my DM system manage it.

Thanks,

Tamara

Whoops, forgot the cell level in my picture.

myLibary -> myCell -> schematic

Hi Tamara,

as far as I know this is a new feature from Cadence IC 5.10.41 USR 3
onwards.

Regards,

Stefan
