Transistor Substitution Guidance Being Sought Here, Please

Hi, I have a transistor - 2SK2564 - that came from a Daewoo 13" tv and
is fried thanks to a cockroach that got too close to it I guess.

NOw I know it's a N- high-speed switching MOSFET, and I have a
multitude of such things around my place [I'm a pack-rat who pulls
parts from anything that comes my way.

So I just very possibly might have a replacement here, but I don't
know what I can substitute it with.

And as I kinda live 12 miles from the nearest small town, I was hoping
somebody here could toss me a few numbers to look out for.

Anyone know?

Or know where I can go [net-wise] to find out?

I guess that means you have already found the data sheet at
http://semi.shindengen.co.jp/en/2sk2564.pdf

One place to look would be International Rectifier (www.irf.com). Their
parts seem to be to turn up in almost everything. Another place to try
are the distributors like Farnell or RS. They often have tables of
similar devices from numerous manufacturers.

Well, you could try http://www.nteinc.com and click on the
semiconductor crossreference. You may be able to get an idea of what
the 2564 can do, and compare it to others. But this is not an
accurate comparison.
