With a time monitor on each valve, blower, etc., as needed. This could be
separate hour meters on each device (designed for the device voltage - 24V,
120V, etc.) or a chart recorder with appropriate interfaces or the electronic
equivalent of a chart recorder (using analog to digital converters to convert AC
on/off into a logic signal).

Dataq http://www.dataq.com/ has a number of electronic chart recorder
equivalents, including the DI-194RS starter kit (4 channels, PC serial port
interface, basic monitoring software) for $25. If you're interested in an
electronic monitor, this is a good way to start.
