I bought the above DVD player two years ago. It failed on me last night.
When I turn it on, the power light turns green for a minute and it cuts back
out. I managed to pop the case open, release the dvd in the device. However,
it still does the same thing. I was hoping to hear a mechanism try and eject
when I hit the eject button, but nothing happens.

Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can try and replace?

This could be something in the power supply, or a component failed in the
control circuit area. The tech would start by verifying the performance of
the power supply, and then proceed from there.

If this is a low cost player, it may not be worth to service. The parts and
labour cost, may exceed the value of the player.

It is lowcost. I was hoping someone saw the same problem and could point me
to a cheap radio shack fix.

It's certainly not worth paying any labor for.

Thanks,

If you are going to junk it, would you sell the remote?

What is the remote's model number? - Reinhart

I'm going to see if I can salvage it somehow, I can't say it's something I'm
going to do in a day, week, or two.

But, it's a se-r047 remote.
