Toshiba personal DVD player, circuit board needed

Hi All,

I have a Toshiba SD-P2000 personal DVD player. Supposedly, all it
needs is a power supply board. The ECB would be roughly 3/4" wide, and 3"
long, with a power connector (12V), battery connector (??), and a 20 pin
connector for interfacing power to the main board.

I found a company online with a "Power Supply ECB" for $70, but the
lady on the phone couldn't, or wouldn't, look up any further description.
I hate to spend $70 and no be sure it's the part I need.

Does anyone have a manual or some experience with these players? Can
you verify a part number/description for me? For that matter, I'm open to
suggestions on possible better places to buy one.

Thanks, Max

Scan Ebay for your DVD model. You can get one there for cheap. Then swap
the power supply card. I had a similar problem with my Toshiba DVD - no
audio out; video okay. I scanned Ebay and eventually found a DVD of my
make and model being sold as-is because it had a bad CD tray. I got it
for less than 10 dollars (shipping extra). All I did was swap the card
and that corrected my audio problem.

In my opinion, this is the cheapest route to take. Buying a new card
isn't worth it. The cost is just too high. You can also get fully
functioning DVDs on Ebay bidding for far less than retail.
