Toshiba CT917C TV/CATV

Hello,
I have an older TV (Toshiba CT917C)
There is a TV/CATV button on the remote that changes between TV & CATV
modes.
The problem is that the remote was broken and there does not seem to
be a similar TV/CATV switch on the TV.
How can I get the TV into CATV mode ?

You press the TV/CATV button on the remote control to change tuning modes.
This is the answer you did not want to hear but it is the obvious and only
answer.

You might get lucky and be able to change the mode with a universal remote
control from OneForAll, but I would strongly recommend you email the answer
center with you make and model and find out if any of the remote controls
they offer have the needed code to change the tuning mode (TV/CATV) button
off the remote control.

You need the factory remote control to do this properly. There are some
universal remotes that with an optional code entry, it may be possible to do
this operation. The One-For-All may have a chance to do this (no guarantee).

Call the Toshiba parts rep, and they can get you an original factory remote.
If you call Toshiba directly they can tell you who the rep is for your area.
