Toshiba 1999 service manual NLA!

I have a TZ50V51 (TAC9951) that I need a manual for, and it's NLA. I called
several suppliers, and everyone's out.

If anyone has a duplicate they could part with, I'd be glad to buy it.

BTW, this TV has no picture, but the OSD shows the geometry is crap. I can get
into the convergence and service menus, and change the values in the menu, but
there is no effect. It acts like a dumped eeprom

Can anyone verify if QA02 is the eeprom for this model?

Thanks.

John

BTW, this is a bad week for NLAs. I have a Sony projo also 1999 that needs a
flyback. NLA from Sony, although CRC is sending me a couple to try.

It is acting like something has the sda/scl lines clamped down.
Toshiba at least might still have some of the clock and data lines marked on
the bottom of the pcb.

Welcome to the new world of disposable consumer electronics. Anything over
3 years loses manufacture support as soon as they can get away with it.

Schematics and manual are available as PDF files on the toshiba website if
you are an authorized servicer.
All manufacturers seem to be going to electronic manuals.

I agree, but I'm not picking up this TV until I can be sure to have a schematic
for it. I also don't want to work on this in the home with no print. To add
to the problems, this TV is supposedly water damaged by a leaky roof (while the
new was being installed). I looked the boards over carefully, and can find no
evidence that it was EVER wet. The customer said it was shooting sparks out
of the back when it got wet, but there is no evidence at all of arcing either!
