In anticipation of my return in Australia for the 14th of October next,
which is the 35th anniversary of my Discovery of Telfer Copper-Gold Mine in
1970, I want to see you both at the Sheraton in Perth, either before or
after that date. This is where I will be during my stay in Western
Australia.
Indeed besides meeting with Gallop and visiting the town & the mines I put
on the map (Telfer, Nifty & Kintyre) , I will fly to Canberra for a meeting
with Howard with due Honour, and hopefully with Carole.

After your most sincere apologies, we will have of course a drink together.
I hope at this occasion that Foster will bring his best Australian wine,
for me to compare with the excellent Château Turcaud.
( I will indeed bring along a few bottles of Château Turcaud in the
Gulfstream 100 )

Confirm your possibility of being there at the said date.

That would be delightful Jean-Paul, but I won't hold my breath.

Dear Carole,

I am not in a position to promise you anything really.
So many people hate me in Australia at the present time, that I am not sure
to be there in time for the 35th Anniversary of the Discovery of the Great
Sandy Desert Mines !

In any case I wish to be there, and if the conditions are right, I will be
there indeed.
.... and I hope Howard and Gallop will organise a civil welcome in my honour

Kind regards

Just a quick question JP - who says you are coming back? You or the
Australian government. As far as I am aware you have to get a visa to
get in to this place. And please don't lecture us on environmental
destructiveness - the French were the ones who tried to bomb the living
daylights out of the Pacific then kicked up a fuss when two of their
agents were jailed in New Zealand for blowing up the Rainbow Warrior.

Meeting with our politicians....? Please, keep up the humor, I need a
goog laugh. That is just delusional ramblings from a tired and
forgotten old man as far as I can see. If the only way you can get
attention is by trumpeting all over the known universe then you are
sadly delusional.

Oh yeah, if I am from convict stock then I wear that badge with honor
and pride. My ancestry is Irish, of whom my distant ancestors
emmigrated to Australia in the 1850's and worked hard to make good lives
for themselves. Possibly there is some convict back along the way. You
make it sound like its the reason Australians are all like that - not
true and ill informed.

Anyway, must go but don't be suprised if the first welcome you get into
Australia is a fully armed F-18 fighter jet - people don't just waltze
into this place anymore.
