Hi,

Just wondering if there are any plans for the TIVO to be released in
Australia in the future?

Is there anywhere I could purchase one that is fully compatible with
Australian TV's and would work fine with no problems?

Pls advise

All about Tivos in Australia is at
http://minnie.tuhs.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome and a bulletin
board is at http://www.forums.oztivo.net/.

The sites tell you that there are no plans for an Australian Tivo and
give information about importing Tivos and how to get them working in
Australia. These enthusiasts even maintain a web site in Tivo format
from which you can download Australian TV schedules.

is that you brent, did you work for
townsville mowers.

What the fuck is a Tivo?
It's a computer-based video recorder that uses a hard disk drive to
record the video. That allowed it to provide features such as delayed
viewing so that you can skip the ads but start watching the program
before it ends. It has the "intelligence" to record what you may want
to watch based on your viewing habits. This has proved to be a mixed
blessing - http://www.dfw.com/mld/startelegram/living/4662397.htm?1c.
