Would like to have a feature that times the mute button action for say 60
seconds or 90 seconds
you press it and mute lasts for that long and then sound is back on
I have searched the net and found nothing of the sort in existence
Is there a remote that does that ?
Is there a way to modify a remote by adding a timer chip etc ?

Some remotes have macro cababilities which you may be able to do a simple
mute, wait 90 seconds and then unmute, but other than an expensive control
system or over coming they laziness of pushing the same button twice, I dont
know.

it is not a matter of laziness at all to press the button for the 2nd time
requires watching the commercials anyway
timer would let me not watch nor hear the darn things for at least that long
and time could be spent doing something more useful
efficiency is the motive here
Which remote has that macro capability ?

I'd rather see a mute feature that fades to silence, then when pressed
again, fades back up to original volume level. Easier on the ears, IMO.

Look for a LEARNING remote with macro cababilities. With the learning
function you can teach the new remote any and all of your old remotes ir
codes.

I thought they all did that. Seriously, my old TV does it. My new VCR
does it. My old VCR did it. etc etc.

Talk About annoying ads ...

BS you are just pushing your set of $65 wires that cost you $3
in materials
You nave no interest and most likely no knowledge at all in contributing to
the thread and this is so ANNOYING
this is 2hd time I see that kind of a commercial in this single thread
and there is no mute button timed or untimed to prevent smartasses like you
from not being seen at all
