hello all, i want to make a circuit that will turn on a 120VAC soleniod for
a variable length of time(between 3-10 seconds). i have a one shot switch
and a relay with a 12VDC coil. what can i use to keep the soleniod on for
the desired time?

thanks in advance to anyone that offers help.

try a large cap value across the coil 1000mfd for starters, the energy stored
in the cap will go thru the coil when you remove the source voltage.
