I just got a new Thomson TV, and was gobsmacked to find the full
service schematic in an addendum packaged with the manual.
Is this usual for these European TVs?
I've never heard of a schematic being supplied in the box before.

Dave :)

My Loewe Arcarda TV came with a schematic - very helpful when a cap blew in
the horiz deflection circuit a couple of weeks ago.
The Loewe was a gem to work on, - 4 screws and the back just pops off,
mother board slides out easily, colour coded connectors, etc. The only
problem was the 900nF 250V MKP, would you believe. A $21 capacitor from the
manufacturer.
