That must be a foolish server. I always erase a lot of messages and still
have 11229. Maybe the guy operating the computer didn't check the box to
download all messages?

Well, we have 42862 articles archived for sci.electronics.design here:

This is the busiest n.g. here, so your must have had a bad connection to
the server or this is just not a server to use with this group: some
servers do not store groups as busy as this one in order to save some
bandwidth.
