Dear guys,

These days there is a guy that sold test equipments on ebay (under different
account names), especially high priced HP8753ES or HP8753D, then get the
cash and disapear. Apparently he is using either stolen ebay acounts or
newly opened ones, either in the US on in the UK. I was one of the lucky
buyers, and I'm already in touch with two others. Anyone else is in the same
situation ? We are just trying to synchronize our actions in order to
increase our chances to catch him...
Thanks... and take care !

I'm tempted to suggest that when you see an out-of-country seller with
zero
past activity selling a high end product for a very low starting bid in
GBP,
you should be suspicious. I saw one that said in the ad the location was
London, so I asked a simple question about the cost of shipping, and I got
a
very long reply, obviously prepared well ahead of time, saying the
equipment
would be shipped out of Milan Italy, and had to be paid for by Direct
Western Union wire. That was confirmation enough that I shouldn't mess
with
that or any of the other similar offerings that have appeared recently.
Evidently Ebay can't discriminate, so we have to use our best judgment
instead.
In my case I dealed with a guy with a reasonnable track of record on ebay (9
positives), but very probably my dear seller was using the ebay account of
someone else !
