I just purchased this bag in green (lime) at the store. It actually looks MUCH nicer in real life. They should have included a picture of someone carrying it. The leather is very nice and soft and it's light in weight. I wish the bottom was reinforced with something stiffer which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. The flap doesn't snap close, but I actually like that because it makes it easy to get into your purse while it's still on your shoulder. So far it doesn't look like stuff would fall out easily, the flap seems to stay down pretty well. The other reviewers complained about the strap being a weird length, but I find it's the perfect purse length for me at the shortest length. It's adjustable but even at the longest length it probably won't be enough to wear across the front for the average person. Like the other reviewers said it's the perfect size, not too big, not too small. I love that it sort of looks like a saddle/messenger bag. I find most bags in this price range are ugly so this is a good buy.
I recently purchased this bag in green and I absolutely love it.Pros:* Roomy, fits everything I need and there's still plenty of room left (large wallet, keys, phone, small umbrella, glasses case, small toiletries bag...)* Overall good quality, sturdy bag; nice soft leather and nicely finished* Convenient adjustable strap: can be lengthened to wear cross-body (messenger-style) or shortened to use as a shoulder bag* 2 additional straps at the back of the bag, which can be used to carry an umbrella, a yoga mat, a rolled-up sweater... very handy* Versatile, looks equally good with a variety of outfits; I wear everywhere. Cons:* The top flap simply folds onto the main compartment, you can't close it securely as you might if it had some kind of fastener. In fairness I haven't had anything even remotely come close to falling out, but this wouldn't be the best bag to wear on a bike* The 2 front pockets have magnetic closures* The front pocket flaps came held in place by glue dots, so they wouldn't flip up during shipping I assume; the glue left the leather stained (fortunately it's not in a conspicuous spot)Overall a great purchase, well worth the price.
Good quality leather and overall product. I am very happy with the look and design of the bag. The only cons (as far as I see it) are the the lining in my bag is pretty dull (just brown muslin) and that the strap is a slightly awkward (longish) length. Other than that, I love this bag (which I frequently get compliments on) for it's saddlebag like look.
I love this bag, it's big, but not too big, and leather is wonderfully soft. I have the Dark Amber one, which is a really versatile year round color, I've been using it every day since I got it, and the lining is a gorgeous graffiti print. I love "hidden" section in the flap too, open up the zipper and the compartment reaches all the way to the bottom of the bag, a great place to keep important items you don't want to take any chances with. The two pockets in the front are easily big enough for a cell phone or an iPod. The bag can be carried easily on your shoulder, but when you want to get something out of the bag you definitely have to take it off, because the flap makes it a little awkward to get at anything otherwise. The drop is not long enough to wear as a cross body bag, it's definitely meant to be worn as a shoulder or handbag only. I'm hoping at some point to get this bag in Teak or Black as well.
With it's super soft leathers, simple Brushed Gold hardware and innovative design the Silverlake Leather Flap is a real stunner The lining is a gorgeous colorful print created exclusively for The SAK by Paris born graffiti artist Gilles Jordan.
Giddyup with this buttery-soft tote, reminiscent of a saddlebag. The two exterior flap pockets and top flap give the bag its equestrian feel, while a smidge of ruching on the sides and gold-tone hardware keep things soft and feminine. The Sak isnât horsing around: a groovy patterned lining and logo charm offer added quality and style to this fashion classic.
The versatile Silverlake leather shoulder bag from The SAK will quickly become your all-in-one day companion. Made from soft, supple leather, it features seaming and stitch detailing, as well as an extra-long, detachable shoulder strap. Inside you'll find a prettily printed fabric lining with a rear wall zippered pocket and front wall slip pockets.
